Does anyone have experience with this Currently I am using CAD>CorelDraw>LaserDRW + rescaling the thing and it still misses certain cutting lines. I just wish there was an easy way to go from autoCAD (my prefered design program) to laserDRW or something else that will control the cutter. To go through and infill every single enclosed area in these small complex designs would be a nightmare, as I’d have to trace over the design with small boxes and other shapes in LaserDRW, well nigh impossible to do accurately and VERY tedious.Įven though the process above seems rather Neanderthal it does give me parts the correct size, it’s just that the machine insists on cutting twice. Once you get that working you can see about Corel. Hi there please see picture, this has happened on multiple files laser randomly veers off track and starts cutting in random directions. I just got my K40 today and am loving it so far. Its rather clunky but since LaserDRW won’t import dxf files directly it’s the only way I can get what want cut to the right dimensions. So I export them as bitmaps from my CAD software and then get the correct size by referencing them against a dimension line that I draw in LaserDRW, with some trial and error. I wish I could import them as dxf files but that’s not possible in LaserDRW. I ran a couple of laserdrw test files and each of these had the same 4:1 proportions. ![]() On the solid infill, that’s tricky for my designs as they are derived from CAD files of complex shapes. Squashed image engraving/cutting problem Half way through this afternoons laser cutting, after loading in a new file, it started to squash the image by 3/4 on the x axis. The ‘hairline setting’, is that an instruction, and where is it? If you have a screenshot of the recommended setting and dialog box I’d appreciate it.
